Do we need to know them? It doesn't mention them in the syllabus; this is the only point mentioning Faraday:
• describe the work of Galvani, Volta, Davy and Faraday in increasing understanding of electron transfer reactions
and
• process information from secondary sources to outline and analyse the impact of the work of Galvani, Volta, Davy and Faraday in understanding electron transfer reactions

It's not specifically mentioned in the syllabus, so it's not essential to know his laws. But, it might be in your own interest to know them if you want to use them to help with your explanation of his work for electrochemistry.

our trial had a mark for each of his 2 laws dealing with electrolysis .. 1 person only got the marks
