4.3.4. Perform a first-hand investigation to determine the concentration of a domestic acidic substance using computer-based technologies.

can someone tell me what this is talking about? is is like testing for the pH of vinegar using a pH probe?

we didnt do this experiment at school. so does anyone please give me some results too?

what our school did was that we hooked a laptop with a graphing program to a pH probe and the data logger. We titrated like 10 ml at a time into the solution and the computer automatically graphed the pH against the volume of solution added. Each school will have something different. But here's mine for an indication of what it looks like and some results- we used vinegar that was diluted though. NaOH - 0.1M, Vinegar 10% Dilution and 25mL. We got about 0.7 mol/L for the vinegar

learn the computer based way; not anything else, cuz thats what the dp says!

Sounds like a case of insufficiently prepared practical work, a distressingly common disease found in high school science teachers...

we didnt' actually got to break any... it weren't functional in the first place...

oh wait, u r referrin to me... uhm... i dunno, >=) i lost count =p

how could you break it to start off with ? its like deep inside the probe, well deepn enough so you dont shatter the glass against the walls of a beaker or something. =S

You could let it dry out, they are suppose to be kept moist or something.
