can anyone give an easy explaination of psychoanalytical marxist or feminist reading theories? my teacher just confuses me.

psychoanalytical can be seen as interpretations of the subconscious of characters within a text. Often interpreted and homosexual persuasions, such as Iago in Othello. Psychoanalytical analysis/interpretation mainly focus on the subconscious aspect- like characters knowoing they've done wrong and it appears through a different medium- such as the Fool in King Lear.

Feminist is fairly obvious; the presentation and interpretation of women within a text. Any Degradation of Advancement to women are analysed by feminists...

Marxist is an analysis in relation to heirarchy of power in a way- who controls who and what not, cant really put it another way...
but for example a way of viewing Othello through marxist glasses; Iago holds control as he is able to manipulate the other characters such as othello and cassio, so he consequently gains power over the others. putting him at the top of the stages of power.
