Hey, all. I'm doing John Grisham's 'A Time To Kill' as an elective text, and I'm having difficulty finding the conventions of the legal thriller - I need to be able to talk about the value of the text (how it challenges the conventions of the genre), does anyone have anything to help me? :]
I've only been able to find some really basic outline of the legal thriller: 'lawyer-heroes confront enemies outside, as well as inside, the courtroom and are in danger of losing not only their cases but their lives. The Pelican Brief by John Grisham is a well known example of the type.' and some other small snippets, but that's about it. >_>
