i read the new book by the chick that wrote looking for alibrandi yestreday.......its not bad but it has fairly similar themes.......

some guy obviously quite bored did a study and found that if we read from the time we were born to when we were 80 and died we would only read about 1% of all the books in the world

i wanna get as close to that 1% as possible

fave Books-
LOTR
Harry Potter
Gularbulu - go aboriginal english
the lovely bones
the 6th lamentation
great expectations
jane eyre
the tomorrow series
lambs of god

geez i love books......... :D

I've been reading most peoples choices and I've decided that the only books I like are hard fantasy/sci-fi.

You know, the Eddings, the Kerr, the Card. All those authors and more.

I thionk that Fantasy is becoming a much more popular genre lately.

hehhehe, fantasy and sci-fi are the two genres that I tend to avoid (aside from crime fiction that is).

I know, I know, I should give them a try.

do they come mostly in series?

i havent read any fantasy/sci fi for a while, but it's nice when they come in series. you finish a book, think "oh, that was nice", and then there's 3 or 4 more of the same to follow up :D

In truth, the tommorrow series was the first books a read with actual sex in it. :D

But some of the best books come in series. Need I mention Eddings.
