Biology - What Year 11 modules cross over to Year 12? (1 Viewer)

Hi! I know Year 11 is supposed to provide foundation and background knowledge for Year 12, but are there actual modules I wouldn't have to fully revise when progressing to Year 12? For example, I've been told to only fully "master" Modules 1 and 2, is that so? Or am I supposed to know all concepts from all modules? Sorry, I've just been told many things and need a straight answer to prepare myself for Year 12, thank you! Or like if you could provide me specific things I need to remember that would be helpful too!

year 11 bio doesn't carry on as much in year 12 compared to some other subjects. tbh i kinda thought of them as two separate subjects as they have little correlation, but i mean i guess you should know the basics of cells, which kinda relates to diseases and biotechnology, but you should be fine without it. instead, you could look online for other people's hsc notes and try learning content before you start year 12 to prepare yourself for what to expect and get ahead, but youtube and atomi (if you have it) are also really helpful.

honestly, i would recommend not pushing yourself during the two-week break before year 12 and doing tm coz you don't want to burn yourself out too early on, as you just finished up with prelims. ofc if you wanna get ahead slightly, it'll prepare you a bit for year 12, but i feel like initially looking online and at other people's notes, while beginning your own notes, is a good start, though once school starts, try to be ahead of content and stay on top of your notes!

The year 11 modules are so boring At least to me, some of the content in year 12 seem interesting but overall bio is a snoozefest
