i am doing arts at UNSW but kinda confused now. when i choose my options/courses for arts, i want to do CHINESE STUDIES. i am an ABC, i can speak chinese (canto) and read/write a bit but not pro. will i put into a class for beginers or professionals. do they have a right level for me?

The Chinese taught at UNSW is Mandarin. If you look here, you will have to come in and do a test. Although Mandarin isn't the same as Cantonese, since you can read a little you might not be a complete beginner. So you may be placed in a beginner or advanced class according to your ability, but because you've said you can read and write a little, I doubt you will be put in CHIN1006/1007 which is for complete beginners. (I'm doing CHIN1006/1007 by the way.)

the lectures are gonna be in english rite?

I'm not sure; but I did Japanese last year and they split the assessment over all of it - reading, writing, listening, speaking.

The lectures will probably be in English unless you get into a higher level class, which may or may not be in Chinese.
