Are commerce/business degrees replacing arts degrees?

I fail to see how an arts degree could be at all useful, but this is my own opinion. I'm a star Commerce and Math student myself, so Arts and Social Science don't really appeal to me. In reply to this thread, I doubt something like a Business degree would become as redundant and useless as...

Converting Degrees to Radians in VB.NET

The piece of software I am required to design is a standalone scientific calculator, in Visual Basic.NET. The requirements are that I add Sin, Cos and Tan functions. I've added all these buttons to the interface, but don't know what to do next. My software teacher gave me some help, but...

    How do you Study?

So true. Your study habits must be raising red flags with your parents and/or teachers.

    How do you Study?

That's a good strategy, the more you practice something, the better you get at it, and on top of that, you can remember it better. Good stuff, keep it up! Trev: That cramming method does NOT work. It isn't worth people's time to read crap like that.

    How do you Study?

The way I see it, if I cram study for any exam (especially math), I get too nervous on the day of the exam, and forget everything I crammed. However, if I do progressive study for the whole year, I don't forget what I've learned, as it is etched into my brain... Different methods for...

    How do you Study?

I take an ongoing approach to my study, meaning I do it all the time. I take 3.5 hours aside for my homework, If I finish everything in that time (Fairly often), I'll do more of the current math exercise, or do some extension material from other books. This method works extremely well for me...

started yr11... shud i use folders now or wat?

Ok. You are old-fashioned. People have their own preferences, and you shouldn't slag off at them just because of their preference. I prefer to type than to write. Big deal. It doesn't affect you at all.

started yr11... shud i use folders now or wat?

Cry you a river? I'm sure you'd absolutely love that. Look, I HAVE a laptop available so I might as well USE it. Otherwise it would be a WASTE, and that is BAD. End of story.

    hardwork vs. natural ability

That must mean I'm burning myself out. I bummed all the way through year 10, and got 4 B5 and 1 B4 result, but if I'd actually worked, I probably would have gotten B6 in everything. Poor me. But I'm actually working this year, without doing much else. My entire day consists of working at...

True. The natural ability is just a bonus. But a very formidable one.

I don't know what your problem is, I just said I was a SLOW writer, not that I COULDN'T write. Think before you post something like that, it isn't very nice.

started yr11... shud i use folders now or wat?

I use folders myself, but soon will be using a laptop computer instead. That'll get quite ineresting... I'm sure my working speed will improve drastically, as I am a touch-typist, and am bottlenecked by the old archaic pen-ink-paper system :)

    hardwork vs. natural ability

I think the two skills are coefficient of each other. The more natural ability you have, the less you need to study. The less natural ability you have, the more you need to study/work hard. But then there's motivation and interest. If you're motivated to do a certain subject, that helps a lot...
