    are some motherboards meant to work with different hard drives (IDE or SATA)??

    ok cool I have a feeling that my motherboard was meant for IDE HDD but me (not knowing) asked for a SATA HDD and i think they put some funky cable in to make them work together BUT it keeps stuffing up does that sound possible or am i tripping?
