Lets Make a Complaint about the poor scaling of SDD..

I would disagree, they are related: in most cases those that are best at writing code, write the best code. In the SDD course, things are generally simple. The best advantage you can have is being an accomplished programmer. You grasp quickly what needs to be done and you can quickly bring that...

Lets Make a Complaint about the poor scaling of SDD..

Bob sounds like me - except for the last line, seeing as I was 2nd on the State order of merit for SDD in 2003. That Bob can program gives him at least a conceptual advantage in algorithm and system designs, that Bob is finished earlier gives him more time to study (not that I did) etc etc.

    Answers about Law

well, to my knowledge, some subjects are moving to the currently fashionable method of tutorial teaching. But others will remain lecture and seminar structure.

HELP ->> Programming for PALM OS

I think you're basically stuck with C/C++ or Java. I presume you'll looked at http://www.palmone.com/us/developers/. Maybe buying a book (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/palmprog2/) would help? In terms of VB, only PocketPC/Windows Mobile supports Embedded Visual Basic, but it should be...

    Criminal Law

it's also very very very expensive for a book to be so poorly bound and covered! (be very careful with it) A more basic criminal book will assist with just getting you the fundamental requirements for each crime - something that will help before tackling Brown.

The Literal Rule of Statutory Interpretation...

Looks like a parody on statutory interpretation in general (the legal system/the bench in general?) rather than the limitations of literal interpretation.

    HSC 2003 Q22 b) ii)

no joke about it, it is [in all likelihood, but this is pure conjecture] true - they don't understand. The markers would be in a worse situation - they are your SDD teachers...

Do You Regard SDD as difficult?

SDD is "hard" because of its overly convoluted and contradictory nature. Because of this, and coupled with it being a "technology" subject (meaning it is difficult to teach both inherently and because few teachers are sufficiently abreast of the knowledge of the technologies required) means that...

Lets Make a Complaint about the poor scaling of SDD..

not wanting to sound cruel or anything but what sort of UAI are you expecting/wanting? The problem with SDD is that the quality of the candidature is generally low and thus is scales poorly, irrespective of how hard it is.

argh! running out of study resources

Study some other subject. I did 3 days study total for SDD and right before the exam. Given you've run out of things now, I think it would be safe to say you've put in more time than me already. Reread what you have closer to the exam.

    HSC 2003 Q22 b) ii)

This was my response to this question. I had some problems with Switched_On and System On because I had taken the latter to be not so much a variable but as some intrinsic status that wasn't a variable. It seemed confusing to me at the time, however, it is not that unusual to see algorithms...

    Flowchart templates

except that drawing flowchart algorithms in the SDD exam is a recipe for disaster - far too slow, and imprecise.

normal algorithm, picture the CD as a file - The CD header stuff is the first thing you would [block] read from the file. The next thing is a whole list of Song Headers. So you need to read Song Header records from the CD for the number of tracks specified in the CD header. Then what a...
