Apply 4 Sydney Uni it doesnt matter where you apply. both universities are considered one of the best in the state. if the uai is higher for sydney uni then put usyd down as your first preference. just tell me the UAI cut offs for the both universities.

Trial HSC my trials went well. ie above my expectations. i just hope i can improve on it in the HSC.
