hi i know its been ages, i was wondering if u could tell me how things have gone for u in ur first year? i think this might be the degree for me.

God I haven't been on here in ages and I hadn't realised how many ppl had replied again! Unfortunately, I got stuck doing music 1, but it hasn't been too bad coz I've realised it more than likely won't count for my UAI considering I have 14 units total (I picked up a 2 unit distinction...

relax!! i was accelerated in 2 unit chem, and so were the 7 other ppl who got into a course from my school. Ppl in my course were accelerated in legal studies, advanced english, business, physics, 2 unit maths, 3 unit maths, 4 unit maths, ext maths woteva...it is a big range!

Actually. most ppl doing distinction courses have been accelerated in 2 unit subjects. the majority have NOT been accelerated in 3 unit subjects. But claps for being accel. in 4 unit maths!

Thats good that ur feeling a lil bit better. Like I said, the layout that I gave in my last post in just for philosophy, I'm not really sure if Cosmology is EXACTLY the same. However, I do know that the residentials for Cosmology are longer - i believe they have two of them, one for bout 3-4...

There is no cost what so ever to u as it is fully subsidised by the board of studies. That includes the weekend residential stays, course material etc. You can even claim for travel expenses. Like someone else said, there are no prerequistes, so if u choose cosmology, they can only assume u...

hey i'm currently doing a philosophy distinction course thru UNE and i was accelerated in chemistry. I got 92 for chem, and there are 8 ppl from my school doing a distinction course. we all got between 85-92, so you have to get in the high 80s to 90s to get in. it really depends on each yr and...

well well okie doke. so from that i can gauge i pretty much have no chance :P. yeah to be honest i really dont think im good enough for the Con, and thats not just modesty. thanku for all the info tho i will defintely keep all in mind. :)

My gosh thats amazing! thanks for all that info. Its just the audition requirements list IS extremely scary for the Con. So what is the calibre of musicians at either uni? Sorry to press for more info... thanks again! oh and do they tend to look down on the fact that i wont have done...

um atm im tossing up between french and music in arts and prob thinking of medicinal science (i think thats it!) or psych in the science area...have to take another look at the uac tho. apart from psych what are u doing? btw thanks for that i really appreciate it.

thanks for all that stuff... very helpful. i have ranked first in music for 4 yrs and my average mark is bout 95-96 over those 4 yrs. i do rank pretty highly in all my other subjects - im in the top five for each of them this yr just past. dont stop posting...anything else is still...
