    Industrial Chem ?!

It is general knowledge that most solutions of copper are blue. Hydrous CuSO4 is sort of like in solution so they're blue crystals. Conc. sulfuric acid being a dehydrating agent does exactly that. So for the equation, you'd make CuSO4 anhydrous. I don't know if you could have added H2SO4 (l)...

    Band 6 Cut-off

It should've felt much easier. There were no 7 markers for core. Very little high mark questions overall but more questions this year. Only problem should've been time constraints if you're slow. Guessing 74.

    Industrial Chem ?!

liquid x = conc. sulfuric acid CuSO4.5H2O(s) <=> (write conc. H2SO4 where you'd write the catalyst) CuSO4(s) + 5H2O(l) Hydrous CuSO4 is blue and conc. sulfuric acid acts as a dehydrating agent, turning the colour of the crystals from blue to white.

roll like a boss! hoping 80+ raw. haven't really looked through the paper intently. went a bit astray on the first question of industrial when i should've realised only industrial questions can be asked in the industrial option so i should've better analysed the question. the stress during...
