    CSSA Economics 2009

had this argument with my teacher as well. Apparently in economics the word 'developing' is not to be confused with the verb 'developing' as in becoming developed, so developing economies should be described in terms of low per capita y, lack of govt, dominantly rural export base, low SOL and...

ok well in that case, Fair bit easier than splitting denominators and log results and all that! :)

very smooth. But I think you need to say in part 1 that angleAPB = 90 BECAUSE it is the angle at the circumference of a semicircle. I don't think angleAPB=90 is a given.

    Area between 2 curves

There has got to be some comedic value somewhere within all of this intense studying and schoolwork. I think it is a 'special gift' to be able to see cleavage in a log and a exponential graph, albeit completely irrelevant! I don't think I ever would have picked that up. Haha. I think parts is...

    Area between 2 curves

If you did it correctly by parts it should be the same answer. Hence you should get the marks. I used MX2 polynomial stuff on a MX1 test and they gave me full marks. But I dunno... did they specify anything? If not then I don't see why parts won't get you the marks.

+1 Same. Had heaps of stats and everything for Iceland but not too disappointed because I liked the macro and BOP topics for essays. Writing pads but i had about a page of diagrams. That sucks. Some of the monetary policy you can do from RBA intervention in the exchange rates topic but yeah...

    Area between 2 curves

Sorry... If you consider areas on the graph I attached above. a] find the area enclosed by the y-axis, the lines y= 1, y=2 and the curve y=e^x Consider the area under the curve y=e^x from 0 to ln(2). Now consider a rectangle formed by the x and y axes and the line y=2 and x=ln(2). If we...

    resiting economics trial exam :(

What exactly does a breach in security mean? A CSSA person leaked the questions somewhere or what? My teacher is too lazy to make us sit it again. Anyways I'm goin away on hols after exams so I won't be able to do it anyway :)

Yeah pretty breezy 6 pages. I like CAD questions. There is always plenty to put into them. Also I thought the m/c and s/a were both pretty easy. Did 26 and 28 but it seems that writing another page or two would have allowed me to answer both 25 and 26 in one essay?! Did anyone think that...

    Economics a long course?

Could you post them up? Do you have solns? :) I would say that the mcq exploit the intricacies of the course content. Sometimes there are two correct answers and you have to evaluate which one is more adequate..aggravating
