    So the question is as follow: If y=In(tan2x), show that dy/dx = 2sec2x cosec2x My attempt: =1/tan2x * 2sec^2 2x I cant get it into the format they want. Any help would be appreciated.

    K from carrying on ur answer. =-cos^2x - sin^2x + sinx all over cos^2x = -1 + sinx all over cos^2x. Thats a gud enough answer. :haha:

    cos^3 x dx = cos^2x . cosx =(1-sin^2x).cosx = let u = sinx then du = cosx.dx therefore; (1-u^2) du =u-u^3/3 = sin- sin^3/3. wat am i doin wrong?

    The answer is right First differentiation u get ;- 42x (3x^2-40)^6 Then you use product rule:- =42x.6(3x^2-4)^5 + 42 (3x^2-4)^6 = 42(3x^2-4)^5 (36x^2+3x^2-4) = 42(3x^2-4)^5 (39x^2-4) :drink:
