for intl studies, perhaps you can check this thread out, if you haven't already. i personally found it pretty helpful. sorry, i don't know much about the law degrees and grats on both offers, pretty impressive stuff :)

    Unenrolling

i dialled the faculty up (arts & social science for me) and was advised to email the faculty to discontinue my program, because they require us to send our request in writing. apparently, according to the guy at student central, the program coordinator/faculty has the final say in our...

    Unenrolling

i would like to know about this too. unlike you, i've enrolled into the classes and have an existing timetable, so i'm definitely hoping that it won't affect my feb round offer (which i have received and intend to accept this friday). i did ask about this when i called unsw up last week...

Need help in choosing electives in the International Studies program.

according to the unsw website, it pretty much means that the particular course/unit will not contribute to your degree as stated here: and you're welcome, glad it was of help :)

Need help in choosing electives in the International Studies program.

this page provides a table of courses you can enrol into for your arts elective. and be sure that the courses you're looking into are level 1/stage 1 - they should not have any prerequisites, whereas level 2/stage 2 and beyond definitely do. also, with the 12 required credit points of general...

the arts faculty :/ + further questions on b international studies

likes this thread a good lot. i'm well on your boat - am pretty much enrolled into intl studies @ unsw (and it was the development studies program which drew me in most) but have been having second thoughts about switching to usyd too (which i very well may, if i receive a later round offer)...

being accepted into first choice in main round = not considered for other rounds?

grand stuff, great to hear - although this would completely contradict what usyd stated on their admissions website, would it not? but i'd still love to take on any glimmer of hope i can get :O thanks much to all for the response!

being accepted into first choice in main round = not considered for other rounds?

would this apply to usyd, too? may i also ask where you sourced this information from?

being accepted into first choice in main round = not considered for other rounds?

...even if i was accepted into my first preference in the main round?

being accepted into first choice in main round = not considered for other rounds?

i read on the usyd website that usyd will not consider you if you received an offer which was your first preference in the main round. my question is this: does this apply to all other universities?

how do second round offers for university work?

would you recommend deleting the first pref from the list too? (the first pref being the one received and accepted in main round)

    DILEMMA: early feb round offer?

ooh, this. i'm sort of on the same boat as you are, and would LOVE for an offer to intl & global too. what i did was change intl & global to my first preference and perhaps you should too - on the basis that there may still be vacancies (well, i'm definitely hoping! it's published to be full...

    Enrolment

ohhhkaayy, i just called UNSW again and was told that it's fine to enrol whilst waiting for a possible offer from another uni. oh, all this conflicting information D:

What are the consequences of enroling later rather than earlier?

oh dear, i certainly hope not as far as i know, it will diminish your chances in getting the timetable you most prefer, seeing as you may be left with bad time slots that no one wants

    Enrolment

really? :O oh geebus. i'd be glad to enrol because a crappy timetable would be the last thing i want seeing as i live like ages away from unsw

    Enrolment

i had the same query and rang up both UNSW and UAC. accepting an offer and enrolling into an offer are distinct, and i was advised to accept but not enrol. dude at UNSW said that with enrolling, the withdrawal process could be a bit of a hassle, should i receive another offer from another uni...
