drinking: -do not drink on the streets. you will get fined! -depends on your hotel but i could drink in my room but not in public areas (people would skull drinks in the elevator before we reached reception lol) -most hotels only allow drinks in cans or plastic bottles (ie. no glass)...

but why do you need a building pass if you didnt book with the site? what if you were just a bunch of teenagers going to surfers after school... but not for schoolies, and you got there and they were like "get a building pass. $50!" :S
