i have just put together my computer and i cannot get the sound to work. when i go to the sound option from control panel it tells me no sound device is installed...but the mobo (asus a8n-vm-csm) has onboard sound!!

this is what i have put together, mainly for watching vids/dvd, CAD and some games....with the possibility of a tv tuner card being put in at a later date.

hi folksone of my friends found out yesterday that there is a final lot of stat test..problem is applications close in about 23hrs 30mins....and he doesnt have a form!!! bag him out for not getting his act together if u will....but if u could find out where i get this form from he/i would be...

Today I had to change from my beloved 1500/512 connection back down to the 512/256 due to the 'rents not wanting to pay $20 dollars more a month.
I belive that TPG made a poor business decision by providing the 1.5mbps connection near or below cost. Although they benefited in the short term...
