for chem how much of yr 11 content is tested in yr 12 and/or hsc? is there direct content from yr 11 tested or are there some topics from yr 11 that are needed cause we learn more on top of them in yr 12?
like ive heard that galvanic cell are tested in yr 12 or in hsc as we build on it from yr 11
If we get redox or galvanic cell question in the HSC I will deadass start crying midexam

Chemistry should've been in november like last year, we're all so unlucky. the last few tests are just stupid languages, they really could've done languages first instead ☹

I actually like organic spectroscopy, I hate all the memorising like the processes for mod 8 IQ 3, and all of the experiments

imo Year 12 has good modules and bad modules, but I like it more than year 11
when i'm making notes for experiments is it a good idea to write
method, what actually should happen, risk/hazrd stuff.. is there anything else?

I keep struggling with organic and spectroscopy. its really annoying to understand and wrap my head around but im hoping that my big gap between chem and maths allows me to have an awakening 😭😭😭

does anyone have like a list of all the huge content/rote-learning heavy topics in chem? yk like biofuels and natural buffers for example?
ima just do one quickly from reading the syllabus if anyone still needs it
- limitations/advantages of Arrhenius and Bronsted-Lowry
- Acid/Base in industries, by Indigenous peoples, with technology, in neutralisation
- Buffers in natural systems
- All the organic reactions
- Soaps and Detergents
- Environmental, economic, sociocultural implications of using/obtaining hydrocarbons
- Polymer structure/properties/uses
- Biofuels
- Precipitation reactions and flame tests
- Environmental, social, economic issues for chemical synthesis
