I generally do pretty well for all of my subjects, but English is my weakest subject by far. I can't stand the subject and much of it is because I don't like my teacher. The highest marks I've gotten in my senior years for English are 16/20, but I have been getting 85%+ on other subjects. I feel like I'm so bad at English and anything I do is absolutely useless. I did a chapter-by-chapter analysis of 1984, but I only got 16/20. In my last assessment task, I think I got about 66% which was about average but was very poor for me. How can I improve and not hate English?

My teacher just basically said you need to improve your structure and sophistication with your language. Quality over quantitiy. If you info bomb and write 3 booklets worth you will get a B no matter what, even if your argument is crappy. What is example is your QTE's and your sophistication. You need to regularly implent your quotes and techniques through, not just dot point statements, that aren't mark attracting. You could do this by using 'salt and pepper' quotes or slice and dicing.
