Want to study in the US or UK? You're going to have to take the SAT test.

Yes, one official practice test is free. Here is the link: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/prep_one/test.html By the way, the practice test takes around 3 and a half hours, so you'd need to set aside some time if you wanted actual test conditions. Just to let you have a feel...

Want to study in the US or UK? You're going to have to take the SAT test.

You can take official practice tests only, but no you cannot take the actual test online. In Sydney, the actual test is offered 6 times a year, at Macquarie University.

Want to study in the US or UK? You're going to have to take the SAT test.

My point is that just because you are intelligent yourself, it doesn't mean you should simply patronise others less able (or less cynical) than you. If they are willing to work to get good scores, that's a hundred times more respectable than just you publishing on the internet that you got an...

Want to study in the US or UK? You're going to have to take the SAT test.

I think that's a bit harsh John, considering hundreds of thousands of people take the SAT annually, and the average score of college-bound high school students is only 1511/2400.

Want to study in the US or UK? You're going to have to take the SAT test.

ash.t is in fact correct for the UK. The UK does not REQUIRE the SAT test for college admission, although it is accepted and considered as part of the application for admission. However, almost all U.S. colleges, including ALL top tier colleges require either the SAT or the ACT test for...

Want to study in the US or UK? You're going to have to take the SAT test.

Want to study overseas, particular the US or the UK? Possibly at Harvard, Yale, MIT, Columbia, Oxford or for a college sports scholarship? You’re going to need to take the SAT Reasoning Test and the SAT subject tests, and score quite high. The SAT test is required for admission to all top tier...

    Q2Q - Mass Defect

For anyone who still isn't sure, I typed up a solution - Hope that helps. You have to have the electrons. If the question said 12 is mass of carbon NUCLEUS then there are no electrons. But it said it was the mass of the carbon ATOM, therefore electrons must be included. Btw, does anyone...

    General Thoughts: Japanese Continuers

If you get the top HSC mark as well, you will get exactly the same for your HSC what you get for your HSC exam mark. Ie. if you got 90 in HSC exam, u'll get HSC mark of 90 for Jap. That is, your internal mark won't matter if you're first in your school and first in the exam out of your school...

Anyone 100% sure of the listening question about the art gallery? Were the directions to the gallery or to the convenience store? And also, the multiple choice question, which one was it? I thought train but I could have been wrong.

Yeh, but isn't it implied its on first floor, coz it says he doesn't go to the 2nd floor as Naoko intends to.

I said no, based on the fact that she doesn't have much money (costs 5000 yen) and probably not useful in Australia, so she will probably just wait till summer arrives and rainy season ends. I still wrote all the positives and negatives. I don't think it matters which way you think she will go...

    General Thoughts: Japanese Continuers

Yep, that's almost exactly what I thought. I'm 100% sure that you couldn buy tickets at gallery, you had to buy at convenience store. What I'm not sure about was if those directions (catch bus 17, cross bridge, get off, turn left, you'll see it straightaway) were for how to get to the gallery or...
