What Apps to Use to Write an Essay
If you are a student of creative writing, having the right tools can really help you write an essay. It can be hard to pick the best writing app because there are so many to choose from. Here I want to share my thoughts what apps to use to write an essay.

PWord Processors
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Word is a tried-and-true choice to begin with. A lot of writers, including me, use this tried-and-true word editor all the time. It is a popular choice because it is easy to use and has a lot of useful features. Word has many tools for editing, checking for spelling mistakes, and even keeping track of changes. This can be very helpful when working with other people or getting feedback from a teacher.

Google Docs
Google Docs is a great option for people who want a cloud-based answer. The fact that you can view and change your files from anywhere with an internet connection is one of its best features. Google Docs also lets multiple people work together at the same time, which makes it great for peer reviews or group projects.

LibreOffice Writer
LibreOffice Writer is a great choice if you want a free and open-source word editor. It's free, but it has a lot of the same features as paid ones, like grammar and spell-checking tools and different formatting choices.

Note-Taking and Organization Apps
Evernote
Evernote is the best app for taking notes and keeping things in order. You can write down thoughts, make to-do lists, and even save web pages for later use with this app. When you need to quickly find a certain note or piece of information, its search function comes in handy.

OneNote
OneNote from Microsoft is another great app for taking notes that works well with other Office programs. It has a clean, easy-to-use interface that lets you organize your study materials, thoughts, and ideas. One great thing about it is that you can write or draw right on your notes, which can help people who learn best by seeing or who like to learn by touching.

Writing and Productivity Apps
Scrivener
Scrivener is an app for writing that is meant to help you with long-form projects like novels, scripts, and research papers. Its special "binder" interface lets you divide your work into smaller, easier-to-handle chunks. This makes it simpler to plan and find your ideas. Scrivener also has a full-screen mode, snapshots (which let you keep track of different versions), and themes that you can change.

Freedom
Freedom is not only a writing app, but also a work tool that writers can find very useful. This app blocks access to certain websites, apps, or even the whole internet for a certain amount of time, which can help you focus. By making sure there are no other things going on around you, you can focus on your work and get more done.

Comparisons and Examples
Let's look at how Microsoft Word and Google Docs are different to show how these apps are different.

You can run Microsoft Word on your computer and use it on your desktop. It has many features and formatting choices, which makes it a great choice for documents that are hard to format or have special needs. It may use more resources, though, and may not be as easy to reach on different devices.

Another app that you can use from any device with an internet link is Google Docs. It is stored in the cloud. Some advanced features may not be as available as in Word, but the ability to share and work together in real-time makes it perfect for group projects and times when you need to work while traveling.

In this case, let's say you have to write a study paper for a creative writing class. You could start by using Evernote or OneNote to make notes and organize your ideas. You could start writing your paper in a word processor like Microsoft Word or Google Docs once you have a good plan and all of your sources are in order. If you want to work on a paper with classmates, Google Docs might be best because it's easy to share and work on at the same time.

If you find yourself getting sidetracked while writing, you could use an app like Freedom to block websites or apps that are confusing for a certain amount of time. This would let you concentrate only on your essay.

Lastly, if you're working on a longer project like a book or screenplay, you might want to use an app like Scrivener to help you keep track of all the different parts of your work.

Final Thoughts
If you want to be more productive and enjoy writing more, picking the right apps is very important. There is an app for everyone, whether you like a traditional word processor like Microsoft Word or a cloud-based one like Google Docs. Try out different tools until you find the ones that work best for you and the way you write.
Always remember that the most important thing is to find apps that help you stay on track, concentrate, and get things done so you can do your best work.
