They're good cruisers - for 65 year old men! It depends on how much the right example costs. I don't think I'd be willing to go too far into the teens for a (black) manual SR20DET S13 though.

nah I want something with a bit of go. V8 soarers are slugs, the 6 cyl TT version is a lot faster, but even then, slow compared to the SR20.

Yeh in a normal car there's around 40 moving parts in the engine, while in the rotary there's only 3. But unfortunately in Aus, there wouldn't be that many mechanics who would know a lot about them..

The noise they make with a decent exhaust isn't that appealing either :( BRAP-BRAP-BRAP BRAAAAAAAAAAP The old unreliability problem? It's a myth perpetuated by those who don't understand rotaries. Don't port it, and don't thrash it all the time, and they won't need a rebuild for a long time...
