    Tutoring is forced homework?

    It is important that you don't take just one example of a child making it into OC. Obviously a lot of students don't succeed in making it into a selective class or school, but a lot of those also don't go to coaching. In Oasfree's case, his child didn't have tutoring – but nearly every other...

    Do you buy a yearly train ticket?

    Flexipass to city, you're still able to get off at Redfern. Think of it as a region rather than individual stops.

    Truongs Maths Tutoring, any comments?

    Re: Truong's tutoring, any comments? I am an ex student of Truong's and I've been with him for the whole of my life in high school. I would like to clear a couple of things up. It's actually called Ngo's and Sons, not Truong's tutoring Sure he might be making a lot of money, but he...

    Help needed with trig identities. (Or: My god, maths is a freaking nightmare)

    And continuing with the solutions, for the third one just multiply it by (1-sina)/(1-sina), in other words one. Expand and yeah~ The key to trig identities for me is to look at the answer you want to obtain and the path to it becomes easy.

    4u decision

    Most of the 4u topics need a lot of algebra/calculus/integration. Make one mistake in a page of working and your answer won't look pretty.

    Physics experiment

    uh well a perspex rod becomes positively charged when rubbed with silk and if the pith ball? is neutral, then a charged object will attract towards the electrons in the neutral object. I think after they touch the positive charge is shared over the two objects causing the neutral to become...

    Physics - Help me now :P

    Well I'm not too sure, but most TVs use step up transformers as they need high voltage (in turn decreasing current) to accelerate the electrons in producing light energy. Plus, most electric shocks that kill people are caused by the amps, even 1 amp has the potential in causing fatal damage...

    School won't allow me to do Advanced English

    If the school has stopped you from doing advance, then there's most likely a good reason behind it. Plus, someone who skips school to escape assignments and assessments shouldn't even think of being capable of doing advance... right scion?

    Maths Q's

    For the second question: i. when x = 0, y = b when y = 0, x = 4/b Therefore letting A be the y intercept is (0,b) and B being the x intercept (4/b,0) The x coordinate of P = (0+4/b) /2 = 2/b The y coordinate of P = (0+b)/2 = b/2 Therefore P(2/b,b/2) ii. y=1/x => subbing P in L.H.S. = b/2...
