they should be fine in the number plates, our work cars are echo's, and thats where we put the number plates, and in my town, delivery cars get pulled over on average 2-3 times a night, and no one has ever got in trouble for poorly displayed plates.

nope, its like putting a ralliart (not evo) kit on a lancer- the kit is made by ralliart to enhance the appearance of the car. i'd put it in the same class as getting a factory spoiler on your new commodore.

i drive a 1997 lancer coupe (CE for those playing along at home) and it's a great first car, i've even learnt to do most of the maintence myself, because everything is laid out so easy. Buying a CC coupe will be similiar, but just avoid the 1.5 carby like aids.

LOL, i actually spoke to someone with an evo-kitted lancer, and he told me i had it all wrong. He wasn't imitating the EVO, he was paying homage to it. i think fitting a 4G63T would be a better homae to the evo

Yeah, its so annoying, every second lance rhas an EVO kit of some description.

like i said, i just think they *needed* to find a fault. Top gear is like that, even if they love a car, they'll mention its bad points as well. Lucky for mitsubishi, the bad point of the EVO isn't appliccable in the real world.
