Hey, I used Handmaid's Tale (book) and Triumph of the Will (documentary about ww2) last year as related texts. Both were good, ended up using Handmaids Tale in the HSC.

I think for now, it's also important to get some notes (I know that there are heaps online, written by people who have done amazingly), and maybe you could print those out because often they are much simpler and easier to understand than really really boring and long textbooks. But don't worry...
