    The Woolworths Thread

Sarah happens to be one of the Resourcing Officers (HRO) for Region 7 and is based in the HR Support Office. Personally, I've never been asked to send personal details to HR. I've only been asked for this information at store level, to give a copy of my passport and a visa check form to the SSO...

I actually don't know.. The store I visited only had names on them, not the photos yet and "Customer Service Manager on Duty" as the last title. Not sure if that means Service Team Leader/Manager (whatever it is) or 2IC or supervisor...

On weekdays, our store usually gets busy in the afternoons while on weekends (especially Saturdays) it usually gets busy after 10am... On the signs, I think I have seen one on a wall/beam near the service desk in one store in my area. It's slightly larger than A3 paper on a green background...

You can say we sort of had a podium when self serve came out a few years back... It was a touch screen monitor at the service desk to watch all the SCO register transactions and the self serve attendant had a PDA with them to scan heavy objects and to help clear the "Assistance Required" screen...

I thought it was 'Customer Service Team Manager'. Documents I've seen on Storenet have been referring Service Managers as 'Customer Service Team Managers' or CSTM. hmmm, maybe I should double check.... SSM's becoming Inventory Managers? From what I've seen from the store management structure...

In terms of Supermarkets, Region 7 is in NSW, with Area Offices in Yennora, Marrickville, Burwood, Orange and Mount Druitt. Each Area Office covers 15-18 stores within their respective areas and depending on what region they are in. You can find out which stores are in which region by going on...

I'm in Region 7 and just had a look on AllYours... Rosters are online! (Well, only this week and next weeks) They are downloadable as PDFs and there are three available (this week, next week and next fortnight). The website also advises that employees re-check rosters for any changes to "next...

    The Woolworths Thread

Usually when I enter pickups, I don't print the individual register pickup reports. I just use the report which usually prints out after the session finishes, just one sheet showing the total pickups entered for that session. If I've forgotten/need to check my figures entered, I use the C/O...

    Embarrassing moment at uni

I stacked it walking up the stairs looking for a seat in a packed lecture theatre... Damn those crappy stairs in E7B.T2!!! In saying that, at least I wasn't the guy who actually tripped and fell on someone...

Do we get a booklist at Macq or ask our lecturers which books to get?

You can usually find booklists to your units in your unit outlines (by downloading the unit outlines from blackboard - that is, if it's available) or logging onto the student portal and clicking the "student information" tab. With the latter, once you're on the "student information" tab/page...

I tend to pick up/hold a customers credit card because some customers put it back into their wallets after they swipe/insert their cards. It's good to check (some operators don't) cause about 3 weeks ago, I didnt put through a sale to some man who tried to buy $200 in recharge with a skimmed...
