i know it may be a silly question, but to eliminate any little doubts and worries in my head, not all subjects require you to purchase textbooks right? ive checked up my subjects for autumn semester what textbooks i need, and all except one require none... that or they just havent put it up...

just wondering, if you miss out on a lecture or seminar are you able or allowed to go to another one on another day for the same subject? or is there something to do with having your name marked off or something that wont let you?
