empire records - badly paced, flimsy and under-developed characters, jerky and inconsistent narrative, very good soundtrack, competent acting, horrible wardrobes. election - witty, cleverly-crafted, multi-dimensional, fantastic performances, and a nice commentary on human imperfection.
