because they still drag me down and i’m not an outlier
u dont need to be an outlier, if ur ranked first you'll get the highest exam mark as ur assessment mark, so assuming u get the highest exam mark in ur cohort, the other people won't affect you, maybe actually learn how it works before getting into arguments

Our school never gets band 6s in science, and when it does it's always a low band 6 below 95.

I have a feeling we just get shitty markers all the time.

Why doesn't NESA randomize it, and why can't they double mark every subject instead of just english?
The marker will never be an employee of your school, and will not be able to see any identifying factors about what your school is. Additionally, all extended response sections are marked by at least two different markers. In that way, the HSC marking system is extremely fair and there are safeguards to ensure that all responses are marked fairly, such as exemplar/calibrated samples which markers will not know of, in which they have to get within one mark of the pre-determined mark, or otherwise, they get locked out of the system until they are retrained.

there are never extended response sections as in 20 marker essays in science. but there are often 5-9markers. these 5-9 markers aren't double marked hence it's not fair since it's very dependent on whether your marker is an asshole or not.

Anything beyond 2 marks should be double marked, not just 20 markers.

But still, they will get sample questions which they have to get right. They will never know which ones these are.
