Literally what is the point of giving us nearly TWO fucking months between the test and results? Victoria and Queensland sit their last exams in late november, while the latest HSC exams go to is a few days into november.

I guess this is to pander to the dropkicks who don't give a fuck about school and allow them to celebrate their "achievement" of finishing high school (with a likely 45 atar) early

to give us less time to prepare for the hsc and more time for them to mark because nesa doesn't care about us lmao. jk

HSC exams are generally longer than the VCE and QCE (they also are different in some fundamentals).

Not to mention last year the HSC had around 80,000 students, while the VCE and QCE sit around 50,000-60,000 students

edit: apparently half of this isnt true lmao mb

to account for marking time? maybe theres less students sitting the hsc in qld and vic compared to nsw but idk if that’s true or the reason for this
VCE has like the same number of students as hsc basically

VCE people sit like 2 exams for a lot of subjects 💀
I’m pretty sure they defo do more exams than us and they double mark every exam. They sit their exams later, do allat and still get their marks before us 💀💀💀

why the fuck do we have to do the test so early?

who the fuck is this catering to?
I'd assume because NSW has a higher canditature, so markers need more time to go through marking. Also, VCE doesn't do aligned marks, just place raw marks into a normal distribution to give students their 'study score', which probalbly gets acheived within a shorter space of time. Since UAC calculates ATAR, whilst NESA conducts and marks HSC exams, this adds to the additional time required.

Why can't we do normal distribution thing for bands? band 3 should be average and band 6 should be top 10%
also vce has the same amount of people actually, with each exam being double marked

Ok, then I'd put it down to the fact that NESA and UAC are separate entities, so therefore, it makes the process longer.
