45 minutes per section. Both are worth the same amount of marks, so it's worth spending the same amount of time on each. If you can finish the comprehension even quicker, then even better, but I wouldn't recommend spending over around 47/48 minutes on it. When I was writing my practice essays, I always managed to finish comprehension by the 45-minute mark because I liked having a bit of extra time to break down the essay question and format a better response

Might be good to practise with the 2019 paper 1 cause that shit was wild. If you can nail that, you should be all good.

I spent 50m on sec1, 40m on sec2.

It's much easier to get 2 more marks in section 1 than it is for an essay. I wanted my section 1 to be as good as it could be before moving on
