what was ur answer for the range and max height?

i let gravity = 10ms^-2 [i wrote tht down]. would i get marked down?

Max Height : 80m
Range : 360m


i used 3u method~~ lol

about right answers, but rounded because of the 10 thing.

Also it says 9.8 in the data sheet, so yes, they will mark you down somewhat.

mine was something like that... i dont know if i did it rigth tho cos my teacher explained how to do projectile motion to me on the phone yesterday and i didnt get it.
I have no idea what method i used, i just drew a right angled triangle and subbed things into the formulas

Maximum height was around 69 metres or something.
The range was when T = 8 seconds or something and ended up being something around 300m. Wow...i remember none of it.

u could just recalculate it with those figures 45m/s vertical and 60m/s horizontal, but a quick answer would be sumthing like gamecw's

range = 8 seconds.
and then u calculated it by multiplying 45 x 8 = 360m

hence, range = 360m?

Um. wasn't the question asking: what is the horizontal velocity when it lands?
shouldnt that be ZERO?

its constant velocity because its horizontal, refer to newtons laws, so should be the same, i dont think it said anything about resistance or friction.

Yay. Hope you and everyone else did well in all the other questions too. :)

Oh yeah and I'm not doing the HSC this year, I just did the projectile motion question for fun when the teacher showed us the exam paper. :p

thats wat i had aswell, therefore that must be correct

though the range = 367.3 m to be more exact lol
