Is my understanding of the following correct?

Public health programs:
- e.g., the Grim Reaper campaign in the 1980s in Australia, which sought to make people aware of the seriousness of HIV/AIDS and its rapid spread in the community; informed people that HIV can spread from unprotected sex and sharing of needles; encouraged people to practice safe sex to reduce the risk of transmission of HIV
- programs in parts of Africa aimed at informing the general population of ways of reducing the chance of contracting malaria, e.g., the importance of using nets, the importance to seeking treatment and medication urgently; in many communities in Africa, people do not have TV or internet, so radios were handed out to disseminate information; also, billboard campaigns around public gatherings like sporting events; also training teachers and local community health workers to recognise the early symptoms of malaria

Genetic engineering:
- e.g., the use of Bt cotton; caterpillar pests try to eat the plant, but the plant produces toxins that disrupt the caterpillar's digestive system, causing it to die.

Also for public health programs you can use SLIP SLOP SLAP which helps stop skin cancer, and the QUIT campaign for smoking to prevent lung cancer.
