i got um common law (the case the judge based decision on) - the doctorine of precedent

and

umm legislation (computer crimes act)

is this wrong?

i just put common law e.g. waht ever case was mentioned can't memba, and statute law e.g. the crime mentioned

i said precident, as in the case the judge mentioned and state made statute law, as in the act that was in there.

I'm only in Year 11 (or HSC 2005), but our Legal teacher brought the paper in and he said that you'd get two marks for just saying "common law" and "statute law"... but he said it wouldn't hurt to quote the case and legislation they put in the passage.

Yeah I reckon you'd get a mark for saying legislation seeing as that's what it is.

I wrote common law and statue law and put the names of the case and legislation just to be safe.
