my first preference for uni is probably going to be visual communications, but im also keen to put down these engineering courses, particularly because the uni has dropped a bit since last year... what i want to know, preferably from someone doing the course, is just howmuch phyiscs and programming knowledge i need to know? cause i dropped phyiscs at the end of year 11 and im not doing SDD... so i just wanna know, particularly for soft. engineering, if thats gonna screw me over not doing SDD or phyiscs in year 12...
and also, im doing mathematics, but im gonna do bridging for extension if that helps

looking forward for your response.. anyone!

If the courses don't change then this may be of some help.

For Software Engineering (SE) you do not need to do any physics at all. NONE..ZILCH! But if you are going to consider Computer Engineering (CE), you will do lotsa physics.

Subjects that would help you if you do any of these two courses, would be 4 unit maths. You will learn 4 unit maths all over again. Otherwise, SDD and other subjects don't necessarily give you the "edge" over other people.

If i didn't make myself clear..

SE = no physics, but lotsa maths
CE = lotsa physics and lotsa maths

Hope that helps with your course choosing.
