hehe. 2 months late. But what did everyone think to their performance(s)?

My examiners (two old guys) kept rather straight faces so I don't know if that's a bad thing.

But as far as the performance I made a mistake in two of my pieces that hopefully went unnoticed so I don't know.

Anyone know anything about how it is marked/how hard they marK?

Had one friendly looking smiley 40-something year old woman....
And a dyke looking 20 something year old teacher.

Performances were pretty good, the nice one was full talking to me about one of them and said she enjoyed it, so I was like .. :)

Viva honestly was great. 18+/20.

Eh so so, I didn't play my best on the day, but I think I still played solidly.

yeah, i thought i did well.
i dont think i made any mark threatening mistakes although my breathing was a bit out for a bit cause i was so nervous. lol
my examiners were really nice.
the lady was heap talkitive and encouraging.

i thought the guy was very stern at first but he was ok by the end.
what did you all do?
i did four performances and im a vocalist.
Popular music: they werent there by missy higgens(had an accompianist)
Music for multimedia, film television and radio: days like these by janis ian and you've got a friend my carole king. (used a backing track)
Music and religion: fairest Lord Jesus and it was acapella for the first verse then my accompianist started to play.

I feel good about my performances. Had two REALLY nice markers. They smiled, thanked us. One was a middle-aged man who'd listen intently and tap his feet and pull nice faces and the other was a younger woman, really nice aswell. Both were really nice people, and I jumped with my guitar a few times and got into the faster pieces and the slower and I tihnk my voice was okay.
:) I'm happy with it.
I got to play. That's what matters. =]
I enjoyed myself and had fun. :) Can't wish for much more than that in the end.

I thought it was alreeeet.
My examiners were an older man and an older lady. They didn't talk much but they smiled a bit and the man was even tapping his foot at one stage, so I guess thats a good sign.
Pretty hard to say though,

I'm really unsure as to what they thought. I thought i did good, i only made a couple of bad mistakes in my fourth song but i kept going.

The lady was like tapping her foot and nodding her head in one song, but now that i look back on it, it looked really exagerated. Maybe she was only doing it because i sucked and she thought it would make me feel better. :(

The guy, just sat there with his head down.

I played solo guitar pieces on an electric, a joe satriani piece, some tommy emmanuel and classical gas.

Do the markers have to have a fairly good knowledge for every instrument? Cos if i were a marker and i had to mark someone playing a harp or something, i'd be like meh, boring. Whereas if someone was playing guitar i'd be able to say oh they did that well, good technique blah blah.

i had 3 markers, old dude and two old chicks.
they were really good. my teacher was more worried about my hsc then me...
she made the markers out to be some student eating basalisk.. but they were really cheery and talked alot.

my performance wasn't top notch.. considering i had to change all 4 performaces 2 weeks before the hsc... the singer for my acts dropped out cause he was in a car accident.
a little intense but got through it.

we'll find out in december though.

Ya mine went pretty well. Had two really nice ladies.
I play trumpet, so like the first few songs you could tell that i was nervous due to the excessive vibrato from nerves or whateva. I thought it went okay. Just wish we got the actual marks

I think my Viva went the best (18+), then I did three songs with a big band, only one little stuff up but I think I covered it (16+) :)

man the performances feel like a year ago... when we get our marks back on the 17th, do they give us a combined external examination mark of our electives and the aural exam, or do we get separate marks for the aural and the electives?

Please refrain from typing like that. It's hard to read and you come across as a fool.

But anyway, ever heard of Isaac Albeniz? Look up Asturias and Sevilla.
