The length contraction in regards to the frame of reference to the electron, isn't it 40cm? Does it contract in the non-observed frame? That's why time stays the same in a vehicle travelling at a relativistic velocity, but it looks slower for those outside?

All motion is relative, therefore, there is still length contraction. l=39.80cm I think it was.

I'm pretty sure that the 40cm wouldn't change though, would it? Because if it did, then the electron would have contracted space due to velocity... And the tube wasn't in motion. I hope anyway.
