    First Day

I reckon you can get a great mark in BLE with just reading his lecture notes and some skim reading. It is a fairly good overview of law though in a commercial sense. If she still tutors, Sandi is a great tutor. She is amongst the best that I have had in my time at UTS and I have had quite...

    Not enough coffee carts

Most of the times I have been, it only takes about 5 minutes. I dont know why people would think otherwise at peak times. Most coffee shops irrespective of their location usually take 5-10 minutes to serve everyone in peak time. You could always go to Macquarie Centre and have a coffee...

What do you wear to Uni?

Just wear what matches your personality and makes you feel comfortable. Simply just wearing an assortment of the best labels will not impress people... its more about how you carry off that look.

    Black Jeans

The simple fashion rule is (nearly) anything and black goes. Wear black jeans with a bright or white t-shirt and you can not fail.

    Summer session queries

Finish dates depend upon the assessment of each unit. Assuming the unit you are completing has a final exam that the lecturer has decided will be centrally conducted (ie proper exam controlled by uni and not an in class final), you will finish between 1-5 Feb

    Summer session queries

I am doing Legal Skills. It is 7 days. 5 days at 3 hrs and 2 days at 1.5 hours. I think it helps doing a subject or two in Summer to reduce your workload the following semesters.

Law students: do you think about quitting law?

I think most people within the course have some doubts about law, especially after a poor result or two. I have never seriously considered quitting law but in the first year (ie Juris), I took a few poor marks to heart. In the end, I realised that one or two bad marks arent the end of the world...

Re: The UTS 'Get Naked and Secks!!' Thread Does Jon still give the last lecture as a summary of the whole course. If so, that pretty much defines the important topics to be studied.

    Transferring

If I were you I would ask the uni if you could do Business subjects this semester despite being in a different degree. It is a long shot but they might take into consideration that your UAI would be highly competitive for a transfer. If they dont and you dont like Property Economics, take 6...
