hi there i finished yr 12 in 2003 and applied for the elite athlete thing from memory, only some unis will take it into consideration - UNSW i dont think does, but UTS does... obviously you have to check with each uni and then how to go about it i also remember having to get the forms etc...

i'm in forensic chem... there's plenty of job opportunities around, i don't think it is something you should be losing sleep over just yet... im not sure about environmental or biomed forensics but the chem degree is widely applicable (particularly if you don't just wanna become a soco)...

we actually got them some time after the hsc... thats when they were put on the internet anyway... we were told we could request them from the last day of school onwards... but by that stage i didnt care... also, i think 03's yr 12 was considered to be smarter than the 04ers, so keep that in...

wouldn't it really depend on how your grade performs in the final hsc exam? if your school generally does poorly then its not a good sign, but if your school kills hsc exams then you're ok... why not just make life easier for yourself and work harder and do well...

the hsc is syllabus based, so obviously the best way to study is to learn exactly what the syllabus asks. first, print off copies for each of your subjects. secondly, get folders and paper. start from scratch and write notes for each point. good, intelligent, concise and to-the-point notes...

the tours of the city were pretty badly organised... im still lost... i just followed people around and im planning on doing the same on monday. from what ive heard u didnt miss much at all.

my marks were all a suprise. i think generally people do better than expected in some subjects and worse in others. i thought i wouldnt even hit 80 in bio, and i got 92. but in 3u english i was told id get about 47, and i got 44. but overall i was aiming for a uai of 97, thinking id get about 96...

argh im confused... whats wrong with the timetable we got at enrolment then? you mean i could have even more hours at uni? bah.... not happy.

UTS is the tallest of all unis, does that make it the most elite? I think tall unis need more recognition... for being tall. also, this thread is a breeding ground for bigots. i hate it.

i know someone who got 100 without 4u maths or 4u english.
