okay but i don't take off marks without feedback. i just heavily penalise mistakes to try to reinforce the feedback. if i give 18/20, they won't even look at the feedback
this is cruel but true most people who get above 17/20 dont really look at their feedback but heavily penalising mistakes is abit much girl

I once submitted a eng draft wih 900 words and my teacher didnt even bother marking it cus she said its not up to her standards and shes not wasting her time

once we had this in class task and my teacher didn't even bother grading one of this kid's writing cause it was apparently that bad and then she yelled at the whole class for doing a bad job. #traumatising times

for me. My tutor said that I deserved better marks but eh I'm gonna take that with a grain of salt cause that's clearly not what my teachers think lol
the worst situation I find myself in marking as a tutor is either not able to understand the teachers reason in feedback or even worse ( which happens a few times) is I dont agree with the student’s teacher .

this is real my cohort has such shit handwriting but shockingly the teachers can resd it

that's why English is so subjective. I remember once one teacher gave this kid an 8/15 and then the other gave it a 12 or 13 and then they had to average it out to an 11

THIS HAPPENED TO ME IN YEAR9 LMFAOO THE WHOLE CLASS GOT YELLED AT BECAUSE WE DIDNT KNOW HOW TO WRITE AN ESSAY (we were fresh out of covid and we never got taught)

my cousin who tutors me who got rlllly high in english makes me do two paragraphs only because its better to be concise idk
oh yhh me too I have 2 paras for each mod but theyre each like 600 words and my intro and concl 100 each

acc I have 3 for common mod and none for mod c.. but for mod b i have 600 word paras on each poem that i needa memorise for stupid hsc

im preparing them for hungry hsc markers that forgot to pack lunch because their wife left them for the pool boy. i'm more than certain that happened with my english hsc
