    General Thoughts: Mathematics Extension 1

I identified that it was a gp but couldn't knock the answer out. Will this obtain a mark?

for the calculation of purity, I wrote, the sample is 20% impure. Will this receive full marks?

    exactly the point.

    Multiple Choice

Lol, they both favour an increase in ammonia. I would upload if I could, don't have a scanner.

    Multiple Choice

a and b both suddenly increase at time T. A goes slightly above and trends down asymptotically. B goes slightly below and trends up asymptotically.

    Multiple Choice

yes but A and B both satisfy that.

    Multiple Choice

I think I agree with this. It is B for nothing else other than the fact that A wouldn't make sense. B requires the least suspension of disbelief lol.

    Official triage multi-choice solutions

My reasoning was this: Part of Le Chatelier theory is that the system will attempt to counteract the change, but will never fully counteract it. Thus, I found it more likely that it will undershoot it, and thus approach it asymptotically, rather than overshoot it and come down to it.

    I got B, maybe I'm wrong.

    Predictions for Chemistry 2014 HSC?

I disagree. Humans have known for a long time that a fundamental difference exists between nitric acid and say citric acid. That is reflective of a primitive understanding of strong and weak acids that was later clarified by Arrhenius.

    Predictions for Chemistry 2014 HSC?

yeah? what is wrong with that? D is obvious isn't it?

    Predictions for Chemistry 2014 HSC?

it is extremely implicit in tests for "common ions." Unless you do not deem nitrates as common ions?
