I guess "memorisation" has negative connotations. If you enjoy the content and revise regularly (as was previously suggested) it makes life much easier and will set you up for success.

I'm not quite sure how they transitioned from it. You would think that the people who got 99.7 would still get in regardless of their LAT but somehow the median atar has dropped to 98 and now 96.9.
