i did drama, latin and history - back in the good old days (2000) when that australian civics thing wasn't compulsory and history and geography were two seperate electives.

i wasn't talking strictly law, i meant the uni overall. unsw has a lot of exchange students overall. but as has been pointed our before, just because a uni has a good rep with students doesnt mean it'll have a good one in the industry. you should ask around first...that's my advice! cept mq...

white rabbit is totally right, for the vast majority of courses (we're talking 99% or so here) that's how the candidature is determined. why you apply beforehand makes no sense, but that's just the way it is. I suppose with 65000 applying every year, a last minute rush would pretty much suck...

UTS has the best reputation for journalism if you can get the uai. I'm doing media in writing at macq and it's a pretty good course. the friends i've got doing media/law seem to be having a pretty good time too. But as ladypenelope said, there really isn't much difference in the course...
