what are some films for journeys for my HSC next year

LOL, and I am quite sure that would go down well with a catholic school teacher who is an HSC marker :D. We were allowed to do that shit at school and get full marks, but my teacher warned us not to in the real HSC because even though markers aren't meant to be bias, some of the catholic...

what are some films for journeys for my HSC next year

You shouldn't use anymore than ONE film in your essay. Most essay questions ask for a variety of texts which means you should do the prescribed text, and then different texts to it (so if your prescribed text is a film, do something else). But as a rule, you should know off by heart 4 or 5...

So..who thinks they shouldnt have even TRIED doing bio?

A pathogen is an infectious disease. So you could have used the term pathogen in many of the questions. The flu question (such as subsiquent complications), the cow question regarding the national identification register.

    the colour blindness question

You still cant make an absolute rock solid answer with those. And thats what the question was asking (the way I read it). We're not talking about a mother and father both with brown hair and them asking us what colour the childs hair will be.

    human story, out of syllabus

No it would have to be the whole State (or whoever was doing the Human Story) because it would affect everyone that had to do that question. But the Board of Studies will only do something if teachers (especially) and students call. Its a good idea if your teacher calls up because they are an...

    the colour blindness question

Wasn't the colour blindness a sex-specific disorder meaning only a MALE could be affected? The female is the carrier, so even though Maria didn't have it her son still could have. And it was a joke asking us whether her son WOULD or WOULD NOT get it because it was very uncertain. He MIGHT or...

    human story, out of syllabus

Call up the Board of Studies and tell them. If you can prove it was not part of the dot points they'll give special consideration for it like they did in Legal Studies.

To the Media and Board of Studies officials

Well I'm sure you're here like eagles to see what we're all saying. If you would like to take a look at the locusts question again that would be good :D

    How did everyone go?

BIRD FRICKEN FLU...... Theres so much in the media about it. Might be just me, but I'm a news freak (read neally every news story on everything).

    How did everyone go?

Quick, call the Board of Studies (or write an email), we might get special consideration on that question like in legal studies for question C :D

So..who thinks they shouldnt have even TRIED doing bio?

I think I did ok in the multiple choice and the short answer sections. Some questions I didn't know. I am so glad that they asked a lot of stuff about pathogens because I am very good at that. I used H5N1 (Bird Flu) a lot, as I have done a lot of extra-curricula reading and researching of it...

Question C - unfair in another way

We studied that as well. I suppose it made a difference in that we had a teacher with 40 years teaching experience in this field. This is why I hate 'dot point' teaching. Sure learn the dot points and skim the content but don't learn much more. DOT POINT 1: explain this this and this...

Question C - unfair in another way

Because I am interested in LAW just like all (well 5 of the 11 students) the other students in my class. We actually bothered to learn about legal studies and our teacher encouraged and helped us. I mean we went so indepth into crimes such as paedophilia, child porn, rape, murder, political...

Question C - unfair in another way

Stimulus:- Juveniles in Crime In the 12 months prior to the survey we estimated that 29 per cent of students assaulted someone, 27 per cent maliciously damaged property, 15 per cent received or sold stolen goods, 9 per cent shoplifted, 5 per cent committed break and enter and 5 per cent...

Question C - unfair in another way

Out class finished legal studies a term before the HSC exams so we had a whole lot of time to revise. We dedicated ourselves to legal studies, even taking personal trips down (multiple trips) to the local and district courts and once to a supreme court session. We did this during the holidays...
