Immobilisation

• Definition: restricts/minimises movement in the injured area by the use of a splint/bandage/sound body part
• Teeth: seek dental advice, keep all pieces
• Finger dislocation: DRABC, splint, ice, elevation, bandage, medical attention
• Fractures: DRABC, control bleeding, treat shock, immobilise, med. assistance

Medical Treatment

• Needed by most hard tissue injuries, esp. if deformed, uncontrollable bleeding, unable to complete TOTAPS
